Founder & CEO, Help America Hear

Mitch Shapiro is the visionary founder of Help America Hear, an organization dedicated to providing the gift of hearing to those in need. Originally established in 2004 as the Foundation for Sight & Sound, the nonprofit initially focused on raising funds for other organizations supporting both vision and hearing initiatives.

Under Mitch’s leadership, Help America Hear evolved into a direct-service organization, launching impactful programs such as The Library Project, Trek Program, Scholarship Program, and the Help America Hear Program. His dedication to accessibility and empowerment has transformed countless lives, ensuring that individuals with hearing loss receive the support and resources they need to thrive.
