Dr. Lori Trentacoste, Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
For more than three decades, Dr. Lori Trentacoste has helped Long Islanders hear the voices and moments that matter most. A Board Certified Doctor of Audiology, Dr. Trentacoste has been part of Island Better Hearing since her father, Bob Trentacoste, founded the practice in 1971. Today, it stands as one of the oldest family owned and operated audiology practices in the tri-state area.
Her impact reaches well beyond the exam room. Dr. Trentacoste consults with school districts across Suffolk County, partners with the County Early Intervention program and the New York State ACCESS program, and has worked alongside local and state officials to expand public awareness of hearing loss, treatment, and prevention. She is also co-founder of the Long Island Alliance for Hearing Preservation, a coalition of professionals and community leaders dedicated to changing how Long Island talks about, treats, and prevents hearing loss.
Dr. Trentacoste's career has been a steady, generous answer to the same question that drives Help America Hear: how do we make sure no one is left out of the conversation? We are proud to recognize her contributions to our community at this year's John Thomas Golf Classic.
