Our history is rooted in aiding the vision and hearing communities. Since our inception as the Foundation for Sight & Sound in 2004, our mission has been to raise funds to grant to other not-for-profit organizations. These grants were used to initiate or sustain projects that positively influenced people's lives in the vision and hearing communities. Over the years, we have also developed programs such as The Library Project, the Trek Program, and the Scholarship Program.

In 2018, after careful consideration, the Board of Directors determined it was becoming challenging to focus and provide adequate support for both communities. Consequently, we chose a path that would allow us to utilize our most effective partnerships and resources and create a direct impact on the programs. In March 2019, we became legally recognized as Help America Hear Inc., a New York State-registered 501c3 not-for-profit charitable organization.

Our mission has since evolved. We now strive to provide hearing aids to qualified individuals with limited financial resources who cannot obtain them independently. We also provide a scholarship program to help fund educational opportunities.

With the launch of "Champions for the Cause," we are adding a new chapter to our mission. A chapter where we're aiming to improve hearing health and engage the community at a deeper, more personal level. By offering a platform for you to take the reins, we're promoting a shared responsibility for better hearing health, making our cause your cause.
